Your location with the screen off

While you’re online, Tumbite keeps sending your position even if you lock the phone or open the map: the customer and the restaurant see where you are without you coming back to the app.

How it works

The first time you go online, the phone asks you to allow location “Always” (iPhone) or “All the time” (Android). It’s only while you’re online: when you go offline it turns off.

On Android you’ll see a fixed notification “Tumbite is active” while you’re online: it’s the sign your position keeps being sent.

If you don’t grant it, the app still works, but only sends your position with the screen open.

Steps

1. Go online and accept the always-on location permission.
2. When you finish, go offline: the notification goes away.
