Pickup orders and 21+ items
A pickup order has no driver: you hand it over at the counter with the customer’s PIN and pay only a 5% commission. 21+ items are flagged in the menu and are only handed over in person with an ID check.
How it works
Pickup: the customer chooses it when ordering. You see it in Orders marked “Customer picks up.” Accept it and mark it ready as usual; when the customer arrives, ask for their 4-digit PIN (it’s in their app) and tap “Handed to the customer.” The commission on these orders is 5%, since there’s no delivery.
21+ items: in the menu, when editing a dish, check “21+ only.” Those orders are delivered in hand only, and whoever hands them over (the driver, or you for pickup) checks the ID and confirms it in the app before marking it delivered.
That way you stay within the law without hassle: the app won’t let you mark it delivered without that confirmation.
Steps
- Pickup order: accept it, mark it ready and, when the customer arrives, ask for their PIN and tap “Handed to the customer.”
- 21+ item: in the menu, check “21+ only” on that dish.
- When handing over, check the ID and confirm in the app.
