How we look after every order

The Manager: no order gets forgotten

An automatic watcher follows every order from payment to the door, and steps in only when something runs late.

How it works

In food delivery, what upsets people most isn’t a mistake: it’s waiting with no answer. That’s why every Tumbite order has a Manager that follows it from start to finish, minute by minute, around the clock.

The Manager knows how long each stage should take. If the restaurant doesn’t confirm, it sends a reminder at 1 minute and again at 3. If there’s still no answer at 6 minutes, it cancels the order and refunds the customer, so nobody is left with a paid order and no news.

When an order is ready and no driver has picked it up, the Manager alerts our operations team so they can find someone nearby. And everything that happens is logged with its time: who accepted, when it left, when it arrived.

For customers, that means peace of mind. For restaurants, an assistant that flags what’s urgent at rush hour. For drivers, orders that don’t get stuck. And for our team, a live board of every order where the ones that need help show up first.

Restaurant orders with one in red: “In trouble, 4 min without being accepted (cancels on its own at 6 min).”
An unaccepted order turns red and says how long until it cancels on its own.
Order in the Tumbite app that the Manager canceled on its own because the restaurant didn’t confirm in time, with the refund notice.
If the restaurant doesn’t confirm within 6 minutes, the Manager cancels the order and refunds the money.

This first version of the Manager works with fixed, clear rules that are the same for everyone. The same rules you see in each order’s traffic light.
