Why does my store show as not receiving orders?
If your Tumbite app or panel doesn’t check in for 5 minutes, your store stops receiving orders so no customer waits for nothing. It comes back on its own as soon as you open it again.
How it works
While your Tumbite app or panel is open, it tells Tumbite every few seconds that you’re ready for orders.
If that check-in doesn’t arrive for 5 minutes (the tablet turned off, the internet dropped, or the app closed), customers see your store as closed and can’t order. That way an order never lands on a screen nobody is watching and gets canceled.
We let you know by phone notification and email. You don’t need to do anything else: as soon as you open the app or panel again, your store shows as open on its own, and we let you know you’re receiving orders again.
If you close your store on purpose with the open/close switch, that isn’t a pause: it stays closed until you open it.
The green “Taking orders” label shows only when you really are: open, within your hours, and with the app or panel checking in. If you’re open but outside your hours, you’ll see “Open, outside hours” in gray: customers can’t order until your shift starts.
Steps
- Keep the Tumbite app or panel open while your store is open.
- If you get the “Your store isn’t receiving orders” notification, check your connection and open the app or panel.
- As soon as you open it, your store comes back on its own and you get the “You’re receiving orders again” notification.
